How do I stay in an anabloic state??
Hello
I have just started to begin bulking and have been doing some research. I believe the main creteria is to ensure being in an anabolic state?
How can I ensure that I am in an anaboilc state??
Is it through training?? Diet???
Are there any supplements that may help anabolism??
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Hi Danny,
The easiest way to ensure you stay in a anabolic state is to eat every 3-4 hours. A anabolic diet would consist of 60-70% carbs, 20-25% fats and protein must be manintained at 2g/kg body weight per day. If you leave longer 'gaps' between meals then the body may start to body catabolise (burn) its own tissue.
Other anabolic advice;
Do not train for longer than 1 hour with weights (45 minutes being ideal)
Limit cardiovascular exercise - this easily leads to catabolism
As for supplements, through my research whey protein appears to do the job well;
Whey protein may also help to stimulate muscle growth by increasing insulin-like growth factor production (Bean, 2003). Hence, it is anabolic.

before and after take whey protein. at night before bed take creatine. itll keep your muscles from breaking down overnight

I would agree with the advice of Taz here.
Before bedtime I always take in 2 scoops of casein protein to ensure a slow release of protein throughout the night.
I would say Creatine is best taken in a pre / post workout drink
