The color of fruits and vegetables you consume daily is just as important as how much of them you are taking. It sounds a bit weird I know but it is all related to nutrients and antioxidants which are completely necessary for the body. It is important to consume a bit of everything since each product has a different job to do in your body; knowing about this was really interesting and I am very grateful to know these kinds of stuff thanks to experts who are always sharing this important information with us.
Green products will help your body in several things such as keeping a healthy liver, lungs arteries and cells in general. Try to eat spinach, green beans, broccoli, green pepper and lettuce. If you want to have a healthy brain and your brain’s promotion then blue and purple are your colors; grapes, blueberries, eggplants among others are going to be good for your health. Red and pink! My favorite color; believe it or not they promote DNA and prostate health, start eating read apples, strawberries, pomegranates, watermelon and cherries! Would help you a lot! Especially men as you can see.
Healthy sight, immune system and skin hydration, can you guess what colors and food am I talking about here? Yes you have probably heard about carrots helping sight with vitamin A and vitamin C with oranges which will help your defenses get stronger. Orange and yellow are the colors. Papaya, corn, pineapple, orange and carrots are some examples of them. Who wouldn’t want healthy bones and a good circulation? White and beige will provide it to you; garlic, onions and pears are examples of it.
Make sure to make a combination of every color since I am sure that you want every part of your body working right all the time. Make a try to be healthier; it is definitely the best you can do to your body.

What about fruits and vegetables that change color? What does this mean for your health and the vitamins it provides. For instance, bananas go from green to yellow and oranges go from green to orange and grapefruit goes from green to yellow. Are they more or less potent and full of vitamins when they are green? I know they don't taste as good to us but is that a sign that they are not as full of vitamins too?

Vega - good question.

Bananas when green are a good source of complex carbs. When brown they are a good source of simple carbs so it is important to choose the right fruit at the right time, for example I eat ripe bananas when pre training for the energy but green bananas when I need complex carbs to keep my blood sugar level stable

Exactly! Think of bell peppers. The green bell peppers are great and you should eat lots. The yellow ones are only good in moderation, but the red bell peppers contain trans fats and should be avoided...

thanks.....
