Calf Training
Hi Guys
I am trying to find the best way to put some mass on my skinny calves
Currently I train them twice a week with standing calf raises( only machine in the gym for calves) usually 4 sets upto 130 KG usually no less than 15 reps. As I understand higher reps are best for calf training. Also I try to get a good stretchat the top by pausing at the top of movement.
I am concerned as I am only doing the 1 exercise for calves therefore only really hitting them from 1 angle.
Are there any other exercises any 1 can suggest?
Would a differnet feet placement help put different emphasis on the angle at which they are trained?
Cheers

Re: Calf Training
Hi Danny,
Try this:
Wk 1: Standing Calf Raise 3 sets (1 set warm-up) x 8-10 reps. Once per week.
Wk 2: Leg Press Calf Raise 3 sets (1 set warm-up) x 8-10 reps. Once per week.
15 reps are too many if you trying build them.
Keep training your upper legs within the 8-12 reps range and eat plently of calories and you'll turn your calves into cows in no time!
Good Luck
