Mental tips that will help you with your goals!!!! MUST READ
Stop daydreaming—you’re doing it wrong. Psychologists and job coaches are fond of telling you to “think positive” and to “picture your goals.” But if you really want to achieve your career or health objectives, you have to ground your daydreams in reality.
Simply imagining your goal—such as exercising more often, or eating better—is more likely to drain your energy than to inspire you. Why? Positive fantasies don’t include the hard work and effort needed to make a change or reach a goal. And so, when you’re faced with those real-life roadblocks, your fantasy falls apart and you tend to feel demoralized.
So what’s the recipe for success you ask? Get a little negative!!!! SERIOUSLY!!! Compare your current behavior to your desired behavior, think about the potential obstacles, and imagine ways to overcome those obstacles.
Whether the goal was to eat healthier snacks, exercise more often, or form better relationships, These techniques increased can increase your success rates 20 to 50 percent more. (Ready to have the life and body you want? Follow these 7 Steps to Achieve Any Goal.)
Here’s how to make your daydreams work for you:
1. Visualize your goal. Easy: I want to go for a 30-minute jog when I get home from work.
2. Think about your current behavior. Do you usually flop down on your couch and flip on the boob tube the second you get home from work? Play out the scene in your mind. (No one can judge)
3. Think about potential obstacles—then eliminate ‘em. Go ahead, list every exercise excuse in the book. Now come up with a solution for each one. For example: If I feel tired when I get home, I’ll immediately strap on my running shoes and head outside.
I get it—all of this might sound a little silly. But it works: Practicing this type of mental contrasting even just one time is effective, but doing it often will provide more-lasting, positive outcomes.
If you want another mental trick to boost your workout motivation, try tweaking the way you think about numbers. Break your big goals, like losing 30 pounds, into mini goals. Aim for your first 10 lbs weight loss then once you get closer to the 10, focus on the small amount you have to go. The first 10 lbs you shred off will determine how successful your weight loss will be. Again, baby steps!
Goodluck,

I agree with you, before we start our workout first we have to prepare our mind for this, if we are 100% sure and putting our full potential in it so we definitely find good results. With positive thinking everything will be on our side, and having aim or goal is very important it helps to go beyond the expectations.
