Re: How to drink more water?
[quote="marklee"]Getting motivated to drink water is very easy when it makes you feel good. The problem is that most water does not taste good OR make you feel good. Water should be pH balanced for optimum bio-availability and it should also have the natural minerals that water is supposed to have.

Tap water is reached in minerals. When it taste no good that means it has mineral content like iron, calcium, magnesium, and etc. that's why sometimes water does not taste that good, I think its healthy, and water has its natural Ph balance there's nothing to worry. But, in case the water is contaminated with other harmful minerals, chemicals, or bacteria, you know what to do... hehehe

Re: How to drink more water?
When you drink more water than your body require you should be passing it out as perspiration and as urine. You should be sweating even while drinking water. Hence it should not be overloading your system. If your system is overload with fluid you receive that sensation from the organs located in your abdomen before feeling it else where. That sensation should stop you from drinking. Unless of course your organs are not functioning properly as a result of your eating disorder.

Re: How to drink more water?
Make it the first thing you drink each day even before your coffee/tea/cola (or whatever you drink to wake you up). It's hard the first few days (trust me) but soon you'll notice that it wakes you up better than caffeine.
Always carry a bottle of water with you and keep it where you can see it. Most store bought bottles are between 12-16oz you need between 64-80 oz a day, more if you are VERY physically active and/or it's very hot. Don't try to add all this water at once, you will spend all day and all night going to the bathroom. Add a glass a day until you meet your goal, your kidneys and bladder will thank you.

Hi, drinking water doesn't take much time, if possible keep drinking water nearby in bottle or a container. Early morning drinking water keeps you healthy by flushing toxins outside and increases glow in your face.

HI, I think you right..
I full agree with you.

Water is very important as it flushes out toxins and keeps you hydareted. If you become only 5% dehydrated then it can seriously impact your concentration and performance. Try drinking a small cup of water every hour and see how you get on.

Re: How to drink more water?
My favorite tactic is to use a quart sized Mason jar. About four of them is what I need daily and by using the larger jar, it means I can trick myself into thinking I'm only drinking four glasses of water, as opposed to 12 or 14. The mind play makes it seem a lot easier.

Re: How to drink more water?
Water is essential for human health; over 60% of the human body consists of water, and the effects of dehydration can be life threatening. Although there is considerable disagreement among scientists as to the exact amount of water individuals should consume each day, the former “8-by-8” rule of 64 ounces per day is no longer a hard and fast rule. Replacing high-calorie sodas or alcoholic drinks with plain water can help control appetite and weight,[1] improve sleep and energy levels,[2] reduce the likelihood of dental cavities or tooth decay,[3] and help manage chronic conditions such as diabetes mellitus.[4] If you would like to increase your water intake for athletic, dietary, or health purposes.

Re: How to drink more water?
I actually go over the 64 ounce rule. I feel better when I drink more than that and by keeping my water next to me throughout the day, it isn't that hard to do. I don't understand people who don't like to drink water. I think it's so refreshing!
