Bodybuilding Training - To bulk or not to bulk?!?
Most bodybuilders will go one of either 2 ways in their quest to build muscle - the lean approach or the "mass monster" approach. It all comes down to diet and whether the trainer will eat just enough calories (about 500 more than neccassary) per day to grow, or intake huge quantities of food in an attempt to maximise growth and provide the body with an ever present supply of calories.
Im interested to know which method you think is better, which you have tried etc....

From an aethestic point of view I'd say lean ALL the way!

Its good to get a female perspective - I lean towards lean bulking now for this very reason, I like to try and stay in shape!

Trouble is you're never gonna get any real size - the key is everything in moderation!

I think bulk can be quite sexy just as long as you don't go too far.

This is the aim of a bodybuilder - to build lean mass and keep bodyfat low which leads to a healthy lifestyle

I like big but not out of proportion. Maybe each of you should put a photo of yourself up and we can tell you whether you're too big or not

Re: Bodybuilding Training - To bulk or not to bulk?!?
u need to gain strength
If your looking for Max strength like for power lifting then your going to want to work in low reps 1-5, very heavy weight use a spotter, stick with large compound exercises like squats, dead lifts benching etc. At the lower rep range you'll get mostly strength with a small amount of hypertrophy. 6-10 (12) reps you get a combination of strength and hypertrophy this is where most body builders work. 12-20 reps your getting muscle endurance, very little hypertrophy and very little max strength.
this will help u to gain fitness and not to hard on ur body.....
hope this helps u ..
thanks........
